AI-powered smart home control with Home Assistant
Home Assistant integration gives your OpenClaw AI complete control over your smart home. Control lights, thermostats, locks, cameras, sensors, and any other device connected to your Home Assistant instance-all through natural conversation with your AI assistant. Say 'turn off all the lights' or 'set the living room to 72 degrees' and your AI handles it instantly. Ask 'is the garage door closed?' and get real-time status from your sensors. Your smart home becomes voice and text accessible from anywhere through your AI assistant. This integration uses Home Assistant's official MCP server, providing secure, reliable control. Your Home Assistant instance can be local or cloud-hosted (Nabu Casa). All commands go directly from your AI to your home, with no third-party services in between.
Open your Home Assistant instance
Go to your Profile → Security tab
Scroll to 'Long-Lived Access Tokens' and create a new token
Copy the token (shown only once!) and your Home Assistant URL
Enter both in MyOpenClaw settings
