Connect your AI to your home network via Tailscale VPN
Tailscale creates a private mesh VPN between your devices. When configured on your OpenClaw instance, your AI joins your tailnet and can communicate securely with any device on your private network, including your home PC. A key use case is browser automation: run Chrome on your PC with the remote debugging port exposed on your Tailscale IP, then give your AI the CDP host address. Your agent can control a real browser on your real computer with your real residential IP, making it indistinguishable from a human user to any bot detection system. Setup requires generating an ephemeral auth key from your Tailscale admin console (takes 2 minutes). The instance will join your tailnet on every boot. Auth keys expire after up to 90 days — set a calendar reminder to rotate before expiry.
Install Tailscale on your PC from tailscale.com/download
In the Tailscale admin console, go to Settings → Keys
Click 'Generate auth key', enable Ephemeral, then copy the key
Paste the auth key in the field below
Optional: start Chrome on your PC with --remote-debugging-port=9222, then add your Tailscale IP:port as the CDP host
Save and restart your instance — it will join your tailnet automatically
All integrations included with every plan. No extra fees.
